Flight in Glass & Steel
To connect two parts of a garden project and replace a flight of ugly concrete steps I designed this minimal glass & steel structure to waft the visitor through the planting.
The height transition is small, less than one metre, but to 'work' the steps had to curve slightly in plan.
A single monorail armature carries the webs that support the back edge of one glass step and the front edge of the next. Minimal balusters and yacht cables complete the design.
